Catching Up

My recovery from surgery has gone relatively smoothly. Until this morning sort of. I awoke at 4am with pain and swelling. Paula called the doc at around 8am and we went straight to his office from there. I go back for a follow up tomorrow as well. Apparently, where he gave me the anesthesia is inflamed but that’s all. Otherwise, recovering nicely. I am actually writing this post with my leg down rather than having it propped up. After six days of having my leg up 90% of the time, that’s progress!
I am slowly getting back into the swing of things around the house and the office. Paula has done a terrific job at taking care of me. Sh
e even painted the patio furniture! My neighbor has graciously taken care of my lawn and everything at the church has been relatively quiet. Here’s a photo of my leg tonight. The bruising is much better now and I have removed most of the strips covering the ‘holes’. It looks kind of like I had a fight with a raccoon…and lost. Andrew fixed my blog so that I can add images and videos again…thank him for this lovely photo that you really don’t want to see.
Paula, Linley and I took John and Ashley Martin with us to Cedarmore lastnight for the final night of Crossings camp for some of our TPCC kids. Shane has some great photos over on his blog.
This is John’s first week in the office and I cannot adequately express how excited I am to have him on our team. He has hit the ground running. John, Shane and I are spending most of the day on Friday talking, praying, and dreaming.
Andrew Dodson has worked on my blog and fixed some glitches. He is a great tech-dude, talented musician, available hunk, loves Jesus and is growing his personal business. I recommend him. He also does everything from recording to maintaing The Point’s Media Site. Best of all, he loves Jesus.
