Saturday, April 7th, 2007I’ve been preparing and writing my Easter sermon for a couple of weeks. This morning, I was in the middle of the final edit when my daughter, Linley Beth, attempted to climb into my lap and asked to play. Ofcourse, being in the middle of ’sermon zone’ I was at first hesitant to stop what [...]
Blogging For Women…
Wednesday, March 28th, 2007Kari McGrath has a note-worthy blog that I encourage all women to bookmark and read. Kari is an authentic and Godly woman who serves the Lord faithfully alongside her husband at Cedarmore Camp And Conference Center and The Point Church. Her husband, Shane, is an Elder at The Point and they are dear friends of my [...]
Prognisticating 2007
Thursday, December 28th, 2006There is no way to predict what will occur in 2007 or any year. However, I have a few things that I hope to see, some others I fear and still others that I simply think will happen in the coming year. You ca decide which is a hope, fear or ‘other’.

I Recommend
Wednesday, November 1st, 2006I want to give a shout out to my friend, Andrew Dodson. He has been a source of tremendous help in building this site. He can build a site for you too. He is a gifted designer, savvy tech, and better than average drummer . More importantly, he treasures Jesus. Visit his website and [...]
Live From Destin
Tuesday, August 8th, 2006We are right in the middle of a week long vacation in the Destin Florida area. Our condo is beachfront, which is a real treat for Linley. She is having a blast! Lastnight, we boarded the Southern Star for a two hour, sunset dolphin watching cruise in the Destin harbor and out into the Gulf [...]
Camp!
Thursday, July 27th, 2006One of the things I truly enjoy is serving on the board of Kentucky Baptist Assemblies Inc and Crossings Ministries. KBA owns and operates Jonathan Creek and Cedarmore Camp and Conference Centers. These camps are really special places in the Commonwealth. Every summer thousands of kids and adults flood both camps for “Crossings”. We are [...]
On The Lake
Sunday, July 16th, 2006I went tubing on Kentucky Lake last weekend while at Jonathan Creek for Jeremy and Julia’s wedding (see previous post). While tubing with the groom, we were thrown from the tube when we crossed the wake of another boat. After being tossed more than 6 feet in the air (so I am told), I [...]
Weddings
Thursday, July 13th, 2006Recently I was thrilled to serve as the minister at the wedding of Justin and Emily in Cincinnati. The setting was a restored vintage theater, it was awesome. You can see some pics of the wedding and the beautiful couple here. Justin and Emily are great people, I am really honored to serve as [...]
The Kid Condo
Tuesday, April 25th, 2006The playset is finally complete. Paula is planning some flower bloxes below the windows and I am thinking about electricity and plumbing (not really, at least not yet), but other than that it is done!
We are so very grateful for those that assisted: Paul and Doris (best in-laws in the universe!), Tabitha (good with power [...]
Easter 2006
Monday, April 17th, 2006Here are some photos from Easter with the family. It was a great day, the first Easter with The Point Community Church, and a beautiful day in Kentucky. After grilling salmon and some relaxation, we continued to work on the new playset in the backyard which will hopefully be completed by Linley’s birthday.
Paula’s parents with [...]
